Design Information

Many wedding cakes are finished with a silky ivory buttercream.  This is the basis for many designs- satin smooth with delicate swags, dotted swiss, pearls & lace, garden rosebud & vinery, also embellished designs, such as  basket weave or a ‘painted’  floral design.  Some cakes lend themselves to special finishes-  rolled fondant, marzipan, white chocolate plastique or fondant, dark chocolate plastique or ganache.  To accent your design, you can choose fresh, seasonal or edible flowers; hand rolled marzipan or gumpaste flowers; dark or white chocolate curls; fresh berries, to name a few.  Some of these designs are included with the cake price while others are priced according to materials, time and skills required.

It is important that your cake reflect you and your wedding style.  Please call to arrange a consultation appointment to look through my portfolio and to discuss the design of your cake.  Bring your ideas! Some clients have checklists,  some want surprises.  The time before your wedding can be hectic.  I limit the number of orders that I take- I recommend an initial consult two to four months prior, but I’m occasionally able to accommodate orders on shorter notice.

  • Call to arrange for a one hour consultation to design and discuss your cake- 1-360-620-6923

  • Cake sample tastings are arranged by special appointment.

  • Fresh flowers are available seasonally, at market price.

  • A deposit is required for cake platters, pillars, or anything accompanying the cake.

  • Prices based on 75 serving minimum per flavor.  Any cost breaks based on total serving count.

  • Pricing quote available after consultation and design session..

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve and guarantee your date. It will be applied to the balance of your cake price.  

  • Final count confirmation and payment is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.
